Asia's Finest Conductor

Gerard Salonga is one of the Philippines’ most accomplished musical directors, conductors and arrangers.  He has worked with the country’s biggest musical artists, including Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera.  Mr. Salonga spent two years as an arranger and resident conductor of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and has guest conducted the Hong Kong Philharmonic three times.  His productions have won win numerous awards, such as the Promax World Silver Award in New York for best use of music with or without lyrics (2004 & 2005), the Aliw Award for Best Musical Director (2002, 2003, 2005) and the Awit Award for Best Musical Arrangement (2006).  Gerard Salonga is currently the music director and conductor of FILharmoniKA and has released three critically acclaimed recordings with the orchestra.
