RITA MORENOThe Quadruple CrownRita Moreno remains one of only nine performers ever to win all four major artistic awards: the Oscar, the Emmy, the Grammy and the Tony. Most recognized for her Academy-Award winning role as Anita in West Side Story, Rita's career has spanned over fifty years of stage, film and television triumphs, including seminal hits such as The Electric Company on PBS and HBO's Oz. In 2004, Ms. Moreno was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and in December, 2007 was inducted into the California Hall of Fame. Rita's voice has only grown more mature with age, as her stage presence brings down the house with virtuoso performances of classic songs forever associated with her. In addition to her concerts and symphony performances, Ms. Moreno lectures on a variety of topics. Rita can now be seen in the TV Land series Happily Divorced and her one woman show, Life Without Makeup, recently wrapped up a extended run at the Berkeley Repertory theater in route to a future Broadway run.
